When Scott Shafiroff (from Shafiroff Race Engines), approached me to work on a 1965 Mustang Convertible GT350 for his brother Bruce Shafiroff, we were looking forward to the challenge. Then it began. As we started to dive into the build, we were faced with issues…rust, rust, and more rust!. Covered up and disguised by the prior shop’s poor workmanship, which changed the course of the build dramatically. A lot of blood, sweat, and time went into the extensive structural repairs…and a lot of rust came out of it.
The build consisted of the installation of a 500+HP Shafiroff Built Small-Block Ford Race Engine, TCI C4 Transmission, Ford 9” Moser Rear, Complete Front and Rear Chris Alston Total Control Suspension Package, and many other upgrades… And not to mention, the extensive rust repairs.
I would like to thank Scott Shafiroff for his confidence in our ability to undertake this project and to complete it successfully. We are extremely humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to work with him, and to build a friendship and relationship with all of the staff at Shafiroff Race Engines.
